nova-cells software package provides Openstack Compute - cells, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nova-cells
nova-cells is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nova-cells package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nova-cells *
You will get with nova-cells package name, version, architecture and description in a table
